How to split a PDF

What is PDF splitting?

Splitting means picking specific pages out of an existing PDF and saving them as a new, smaller document. You might keep a single page, a run of pages, or a few pages scattered through the file. The selected pages are copied exactly as they are, and your original PDF is left untouched on your device.

Privacy and browser-based processing

The split runs as JavaScript inside your browser tab. Your PDF is read into memory on your own device and the new file is created there, so the document is not uploaded to a ToolBandhu server. Because the work happens on your device, how quickly a large PDF opens depends on your phone or computer.
